Many “Nantonites” love the first snowfall of the year. But for some residents of Nanton, particularly seniors and persons with disabilities, shovelling snow can be very difficult and even dangerous. They need your help - they need a Snow Angel!
Be a Snow Angel
If you want to be a Snow Angel, all you have to do is pick up your shovel and help a neighbour in need! When you are shovelling your own sidewalks and driveway, just take a couple extra minutes to clear your neighbour's sidewalks as well. They will appreciate your efforts and the ease of getting around outside!
If you'd like to approach your neighbour and get to know them, introduce yourself and let them know that you have been clearing their sidewalks and perhaps ask them if there's anything else with which you could help. Remember, being a good neighbour also means respecting the wishes of your neighbour - if they would like to take care of snow shovelling, please respect that.
Reward a Snow Angel
If a Snow Angel has helped you, we want to hear about it! Call the Nanton Quality of Life Foundation, or send us your story along with the name of your Snow Angel and we will send your Snow Angel a commemorative certificate, recognizing their community spirit!
