There will be a water main shut off in the pictured area of the Downtown/Commercial Core on Monday the 19th September, between the hours of 8am and 4pm (duration hopefully much shorter). This is to facilitate the installation of a new fire hydrant by a contracted service provider.
The Town apologizes for consistently needing to undertake these larger scale shut-offs in this vicinity. It is actively planning the installation of new valves to reduce the scale of shut-offs in the commercial core within its budgetary and capital processes.
Additionally, hydrant maintenance work may cause temporary water discolourization. If this happens, please run your water for a short period of time before contacting the Town with concerns.
