Just a note to let residents know about all the work being done on the 26th Ave. water line north of 16 street. In doing a repair on a water leak and trying to isolate the line to the smallest number of customers disturbed when isolating the line a number of valves were found not to be working and had to be replaced, and in replacing them more were found to be leaking. So, a number of different repairs had to be done, and unfortunately, we were not able to do them all at once. We do have one more job to do on the north end of 26th avenue in the next little while and that is to install a needed fire hydrant in that area of where the houses end. This should be the last disturbance in that area for quite a while. This will be done upon the availability of the contractor, hopefully, next week. This will be done with the smallest number of customers shut off as we can now that the other valves in that area are fixed. We thank everyone for their patience in all these repairs requiring shut-offs to the water system.
