Chief Administrative Officer

Nanton’s Chief Administrative Officer is Kevin Miller.

Kevin first started his career in municipal government on “the other side of the table” as a Councilor in the City of Wetaskiwin from 2004 to 2007. His time on Council directly lead Kevin to leave his career in Information Technology to join the Town of Hardisty as Chief Administrative Officer in 2013.

Kevin left Hardisty in 2014, and briefly provided consulting services to another municipality before joining the Town of Nanton in November of 2014.

Kevin has since worked extensively on the construction of our new Wastewater Treatment Plant, and was instrumental in bringing fibre optic internet to all properties in the Town. Kevin also leads our administrative team, ensuring the directions and strategy of Council are carried out in the community.

Kevin has achieved a Certificate in Manitoba Municipal Administration, National Applied Certificate in Local Authority Administration (NACLAA) Level I, and is currently in the process of completing his NACLAA Level II Certificate and a Certificate in Municipal Management and Leadership. Kevin is a member of the Society of Local Government Managers, and is completing his qualifications to achieve his professional designation as a Certified Local Government Manager.

When not in the office, Kevin can be found snowboarding in the mountains during the winter, and treasures his time with family and friends. Kevin and his lovely wife Andy are the parents of three children, two of whom have left the nest and begun their own journeys in life.
